my ending to checkouts

click this link to read the beggining to the story checkouts and then read my ending to it

She wanted him to talk to her so badly she was too shy to say anything to him to let him know that she didn’t think he was foolish. She was so upset at herself on the way home for being so shy she had the perfect opportunity to talk to him but she didn’t. She was so mad she could kick herself. She wondered if he loved her the same way that she loved him. She was thinking so hard she almost forgot where she lived and drove right past her house. Her parents started throwing questions at her about what took her so long and why she passed the house. She had to explain that the checkout boy dropped the mayonnaise and that she couldn’t concentrate--that’s why she passed the house. She went up to her room and thought about him all night.

He thought he had fallen in love at first sight of her. He had already planned on marrying her, and having three kids, and a big house with a big backyard that the kids could play in. He wondered if he would see her tomorrow. The next day when he was at work she didn’t show up he was disappointed he felt as if his heart had melted. He could not think straight that day until one moment he saw her walking through the automatic door and his heart light up like a campfire. He thought that she was a goddess; she was the only girl that he saw.
She walked in confident that today would be the day she would talk to him. She went around looking for a diet soda and a thought crossed her mind she would pretend that she couldn’t find an item and would ask him for help. She started to walk up to the counter when all of a sudden a guy knocked her onto the floor spilling ketchup and jelly she look up so that she could tell him a piece of her mind but when she did she was speechless. There was this amazing face that she had never seen before she thought he was gorgeous she had forgotten all about the boy at the checkout line. She was taken out of her day dream by the manly voice. She couldn’t help herself she had to ask his name. He smiled and said “Jake what’s yours?”

She responded “j-j-Jessie’” with a blush. He took her by the hand and helped her up and asked her to accept his apology. She smiled and said that it’s ok and that she was a little sore but that she would be fine. As she was about to walk off he grabbed her by the arm and gave her his number and said that she should call him sometime. She smiled and went to finish looking the items she had come for. Then she remembered the only reason she wanted to buy anything was to be around wait she still didn’t even know his name she still knew n her heart that she loved him and that Jake could not take that away at least that’s what she told herself. She walked down the aisles of the store she felt a pair of eyes watching her every move she look back but no one was there so she kept on walking and picked up a drink and took it to the checkout line.
He stood there smiling as she approached he thought this is my chance if I never get another.

“Hey. How has this lovely evening been to you today?” he asked.
“Kind of rough but I’m fine.”
“What seems to be the problem?” he asked.
“Nothing really just an average day with nothing to do!” she said.
“Well I get off at six o’clock how about I take you for a walk on the river.” He said
“I guess that would be nice at least I would have its something to do” she said with a slight attitude and didn’t know it.
“He looked at her in shock like why is she acting like this.”
“She looked at his expression and told him that she apologizes for her smart mouth she told him that she was kind of tired and sore.”
“He asked her where she stayed.”
She told him that she stayed on Ammbeckle Rd. and that she would b ready at 6:30.
Then she thought about it, “what is your name I have no idea what your name is and you didn’t even think to ask me for mine?” she asked
“Well my name is Thomas now what’s yours?” he said
“My name is Jessie and how old are you? She said
“I am 16 how old are you?” he said
“Well I’m 16 and a half…..but that doesn’t matter. Ok well see you later on I have to get home before my parents flip out.” She said

She walked to the car and t him thought about how excited she was she didn’t want to show that she was over filled with joy. She couldn’t wait to tell her parents about the day she had. But like always as soon as she walked through the door her parents started to drill her. She told them about what all happened and why it took her so long. At first her parents were in shock that she actually liked someone then they were happy that she met someone in town that she could hang out with. They rushed her to get ready she had almost lost track of the time it was almost six o’clock already. By the time she was done with everything Thomas was down stairs talking to her parents like they had known each other their whole life. As she walked into the room it seemed to him like the world stopped. He stood up to greet her she smiled that was all they needed to say it was as if they could read each other’s mind. She told her parent goodbye and that she would see them later. That night was the beginning of their lives together forever.
